I'm Moving Today!

I'm so excited- I've been such a good girl living for a week in one cardi and one pair of red heels and one pair of pink flats. Not easy staples to work with.

You Will Live On Through Our Speakers

Micheal Jackson ,My first 'Boyfriend' , My first Album, My First Crush, My first Inspiration...I remember at the age of four thinking 'I need to release a song soon to become the youngest musician , as Micheal did it at 5' Cute.

Such a shame that Tabloid Readers and Believers wont let the respectful mourn

I wish I was at Glasto more than ever to celebrate the End of his life with fellow Muso's

Dont Be Wasting All Your Money, On Syrup And Honey, Because I'm Sweet Enough

Me and Dexter went for a walk to the Dene to have a little Photo shoot.
One of my Best friends, Rose gave me a bag of clothes the other day. I love them, they are not things I would choose for myself normally, but i put a little outfit together and felt like a million bucks to be in somethings different. Thats one of the reasons I love her. She opens my eyes to new things.

Oh Dear

I had a bad dress day today. Its only right I post you evidence for a giggle , now that I am safely in my Jimmy jays...

The outfit itself was fine. I am just too short to pull it off, and my hair is naturally too 80's so it looks like I'm trying dead hard to be 80's.
I've never been as up for an 80's comeback as some - it reminds me of my sisters when they were growing up. Lace gloves, wham, side ponies ,cardigans and various other 80s female singer bands, no doubt, Alanis Morrisette.Hair scrunchies.
Oh dear.Oh Deer

Finders, Keepers, Losers,Weepers

Here's some of my loot that I received from my family on exhibition day....

Hawaiian Hello Kitty from my sister...we seem to have a hello kitty present tradition between us. This ones so cute, she comes with a 'travel guide' and if you press the star on her tummy she'll tell you with her eyes what kind of day your going to have!

These vintage white leather gloves from my other sister. I always check these out in antique shops but I didn't know she knew that! these are tiiny! Normally I have problems with gloves being too big, these are definitely too small,Now I wonder, have we evolved to have bigger hands or has the leather merely shrunk? Check out the cute cute cute little buttons!
Gwen Stefani's 'LAMB' perfume from My Mother hen. No matter what happens, I always adore Harajuku fashion, even if I cant dress that way anymore. Unless I want to be mistaken for a twelve year old...Anyway she's so adorable sat on my dressing table and now I can have a bit of Harajuku with me without the need to look half my age.
Flowers <3 aww what girl doesnt like flowers? I just want to pick this flower up and pop it in my hair...yes theres been alot of drawing gone on and some designs on their way ^_^

The Big Girl

"Whenever little Jane went down to the beach she saw the big girl.
She always called her the big girl because she didn't know her name , and she was tall and rather proud looking. Little Jane was rather afraid of her, although she liked the look of her very much."
Enid Blyton, The Big Girl, 1951

Okay so maybe I am not that big. But when I found this on my windscreen it made me smile. Its like one of the children in the street is telling me she knows my secret. The purple hair didn't trick them one bit.

A Few Of My Favourite Things- Exhibition at CCAD

David and Myself
Well after many a post about my end of degree show its only right I tell you about the evening. It was Fabulous, Yes with a capital 'F'.

Firstly it was most wonderful to have family and friends visit me from home. A four hour journey on a school night showed me their dedication.I had a special someone I wanted my Mother Goose to meet (which was all a success)
I have had to miss my cousins wedding last friday in Cyprus. I was terribly upset but the show had to go on and my Mother and Sister came loaded with the gossip, photos and many a gorgeous gift for me- so many gifts in fact that I think I shall have to make a post about them alone.

Secondly I had the most gorgeous, bespoke dress to wear, I felt like a princess. Phil Woodhead, fiance of Mr David Hill of circusnoir.co.uk , made it one sunday before he had even met me. Once we had met through the spiffing David he showed me the dress- which fitted me like a dream once one small seam was taken in a little.
I felt like an absolute star for the evening, words cannot express. I love the pair of them so much, their attention to detail inspires me so, I do hope when I move to Newcastle my Middlesbrough parents will still be.

Hat : Vintage Kangol Gift
Dress: Phil Woodhead

Bag: 1950's
Necklace : My Own Found Objects
Teddy Boy: Phil Woodhead Himself

Thirdly , yes thirdly - I've never felt so much luck. My 'shoe and bracelet sister' Rebecca brought me the most amazing vintage Kangol hat. To think I've felt that I do not belong for three years then suddenly receive all this love and attention in one evening bowled me over.
I am well and truly very lucky to have such people surrounding me.

My favourite part of the show was pointed out to me by my family,
' We want to show you something Amazing!'
'Is it by Claire A Baker?' I reply
'we don't know, come and see'
Of course it was.
The most exquisite, intricate, beautiful, meaningful pieces I have seen for a while, Refreshing Vintage , I think of it as. You really must hunt her out.
In my Opinion 'Best In Show'. I hope she doesn't read this before I've had time to put together a 'Blog Award' for her tomorrow. But for now, book and bed. Good Night, God bless xxx

More photos to follow once my paparrazi get back to me! hehe
